What is this?
Above error from the Easy Anti-Cheat may appear when launching the game, preventing it from starting. The issue stems from a limitation in the specific Easy Anti-Cheat version currently used in Bloodhunt where it can’t parse non-ascii characters, which can be present in Windows Usernames for example.
How do I solve this?
Following the guide below, will help you solve this error:
- Verify the integrity of your game files
-
- We have made a guide on how to do this. You can find it here: How do I verify the integrity of my Steam game files?

I followed the workaround above, now I'm getting a "Launch Error: Settings.json not found" error.
We thought that might happen. Don't worry, we have a solution for that as well:
- Edit the launch options.
-
- Open Steam
- Go to your Steam Library
- Right click on Bloodhunt
- Select Properties...
- In the field below "Launch Options" input: -anticheat_settings=Settings.json
- Exit the Properties screen and launch the game.
