My account has been banned

Why am I banned?

There are many reasons as to why your account may have been banned:

  1. Cheating
  2. Exploiting
  3. Offensive Profile
  4. Verbal abuse
  5. Scamming
  6. Spamming
  7. Other

You can read more about the specific reasons and what they mean, by expanding each ban reason below.

If you already know that you have been wrongfully banned, we encourage you to read our article on creating a ban appeal. You can find it here: Can I make an appeal against the ban?

Cheating

Happens when our anti-cheat has flagged your account of cheating.

It may also happen if one or more players suspect you of cheating and Sharkmob have found enough evidence to believe their reports are true.

Player reported claims of cheating are carefully reviewed by our support staff.
We have processes in place to ensure that reports are investigated 24/7, and we put in a lot of effort to make sure that the appropriate actions are taken. We take cheating very seriously and as such, if an account has been banned for cheating, the ban will usually not be lifted.

Exploiting

Happens when one or more players have reported you for exploiting certain bugs in the game.

As an example: There’s a bug that prevents you from being damage by the red gas. Staying in the red gas until the game finishes would be abusing a bug. Hence you may be reported for exploiting.
If you have purposely exploited a bug in the game, your ban will generally not be lifted.
Offensive Profile
This type of ban happens in cases of inappropriate usernames, curse words, or other uses of offensive language in your profile.
The most frequent use of this ban is because of an offensive username.

Verbal abuse
A verbal abuse ban happens in cases where you are reported by one or more players for using bad language in the in-game voice chat or in the text chat. Bad language includes curse words, culturally offensive name calling, being impolite, or other uses of offensive language.

Scamming

This happens in cases where you are reported by one or more players for trying to sell fake products or in any other way are promoting a fraudulent scheme.

This also includes trying to sell fake game codes to play Bloodhunt or in-game items.

Spamming
Our profanity filter will usually work to prevent you from spamming the text chat. In these cases, you will be temporarily suspended from typing in the chat. This is not a permanent ban and will usually be lifted within a few minutes.

If you are permanently banned for spamming, one or more players may have actively reported you.
